The weather has been very windy the last few days not to mention cold and wet! But I love my Easy Grazer!! It is so simple and mess free to fill up, the horses love eating out of it and not one bit of hay was blown away.

Congratulations to Rachel Florian and Bene Colwell on their well deserved placing’s at the Southland Dressage tournament.
Well done! The hard work has been worth it!

We extend heartfelt sympathy to the family of Jason Wright who tragically died doing what he loved, flying helicopters.

We have a Hoofball!! For those of you who haven't heard of them, Google Hoofball NZ and have a look! I tried it out with Maxi, who is our spookiest horse, and he was really good. After 30 minutes he was pushing the Hoffball around the round pen!!

We are back home from another successful spraying contract in Scotland. We enjoy travelling but you can't beat home!! It is so nice to see the horses again and Maree and Shirley have done a super job (as usual) looking after them.

The round pen is finished!
A big thankyou to Dave for making such a wonderful area and to Te Pari Products for supplying the round pen.
We are using it everyday and the horses work really well in it.
The photos below show its development. (to be included shortly)

After a mild autumn, winter is starting to show its icy face!
We have just come back from a week in Christchurch where Julia attended the Andrew Mclean course. Maxi had been accepted as a “Guinea Pig” for the clinic and Julia had also been offered a lesson with Jody Hartstone but unfortunately Maxi pulled a tendon and we had to withdraw him.
Even though Julia was bitterly disappointed not being able to ride, being a spectator was almost as good!

24/4/10
One of our pupils Maigan Ward rode Maxi at the Southland Newcomers Show and picked up a handful of ribbons including a 2nd in Maxi’s first ever jumping competition.
Congratulations to all our other clients who competed especially Delwyn Schmidt and Sally Hammond!

Southland A&P Show:
We had a great show with Storm (Mahogany Blonde) getting Reserve Champion Warmblood Female.

Maxi (Max Factor) was a bit naughty but still came home with two 2nds and a 1st in the Riding Horse section.
